Radix Launches London-Wide Advertising Campaign

Radix is a layer-1 cryptocurrency designed for decentralized finance. To coincide with its Alexandria update, Radix launched an advertising campaign in London using the hashtag #RadixTakeover.

To help organize a Radix event, the Radix community has teamed up with S3, a leading advertising agency. campaign across the London Underground. The advertisements carry the message “Radix has arrived” and a link or QR code to a landing page with more information about the Radix network and token. Advertisements are placed at Underground stations in thousands and will receive millions of impressions. Londoners can share photos of the advertisements on Twitter with the hashtag “#RadixTakeover” for the opportunity to win 20,000 XRD, which is equivalent to roughly $5737 at the time of writing. You can also win a bonus prize worth 5,000 XRD if you Retweet this Tweet.

Physical cryptocurrency advertisements have been a recent hot topic, with projects ranging from serious layer-1 cryptocurrencies such as Avalanche to “meme coins” such as Floki advertising in locations such as outdoor billboards and on buses. In November, the UK’s advertising watchdog launched an investigation into the Floki ads after receiving several complaints. TfL (Transport for London), although it doesn’t ban cryptocurrency advertisements, does put them through additional scrutiny before they are approved.

The community-funded Radix campaign coincides with the release of Alexandria, which provides “early access” to smart contracts for DeFi developers before the Babylon update in 2022 when smart contracts will go live on the mainnet. Scrypto allows developers to start creating smart contracts using Rust. It was specifically designed for DeFi.

Radix doesn’t yet have smart contracts but it is already attracted many projects including Radix Collection, Samuskycoin, which was built from Radix and which raised more than $70,000 in its seed round), Ociswap which seeks to become the first Radix decentralized exchange after the launch in 2022 of Babylon.

Radix, a crypto-related project, has been attracting the attention and investment of major players, such as Altcoin Daily YouTube channel. They have produced several videos extolling Radix’s superiority as a solution to DeFi. Radix is a well-respected coin that has been compared with other coins like Avalanche and Solana as well as Cardano, Ethereum and Cardano. It has also attracted venture capitalists such Taavet Hinrikus and Willy Woo to invest in it.

The Radix Tube ads are expected to run until 3 January, generating large publicity for the Radix network and raising the project’s overall visibility.
