Elon Musk is an entrepreneur and eccentric personality. A crypto investor. Part owner. Heavy endorsor. His efforts to inform others on crypto’s dangers and marvels are not stopping.

Elon has had his hand in many different projects – some that have hit, and others that look hopeful for the future. He has also been known as a influencer in what’s hot and what’s not, because of his power within social and mainstream media. Tesla-owners have established a brand loyalty that is Apple-level.

Musk single-handedly managed tweets, and this has had a profound impact on the way investors invest in large quantities. Musk currently serves as co-founder and chief design officer at SpaceX and Tesla. This innovative company spans a broad range of industries, including AI, infrastructure, aerospace and electric vehicle manufacturing. Musk helped to create Paypal, the first online payment company. Dogecoin, a project Elon was involved in the growth of is one.

In April 2019, Elon Musk mentioned Dogecoin and his interest in being a doge-head, he said, “Dogecoin may be my favourite cryptocurrency. It’s pretty cool.” The price of the coin went from $0.002 on April 1 to as high as $0.004 on April 4. Musk tweeted about DOGE for a while, with Snoop Dogg joining in.

Musk has been known for his recent point of view on bitcoin, after being a holder – he exposed the threats and harms to the earth caused by bitcoin mining. His tweets caused controversy, as well as his open and unrestrained play with crypto-fears. Some can say Musk was in part responsible for the 20% plunge Bitcoin went through, well as Dogecoin’s rise and drop after his SNL appearance. One thing we learned from Trump’s presidency, is the impact social media can have on the public today, and Elon has proved this theory right.  It is incredible to see how he uses social media to change people’s perceptions.

Although some things happen by chance, the overall impact of Elon’s influence on cryptocurrency can be seen over time. It has been shown through his following that celebrities have the ability to help expose projects to mainstream media to promote crypto. You may have different mileage.
