Twitter threads from last week reveal a series of heated arguments between Cardano founder and Ethereum’s co-founder, and Vitalik Buterin.
In the midst of several backlashes due to lapses with the Ethereum Upgrade the co-founders debate the execution and maintenance of the POS consensus system. The Ethereum upgrade has seen a lot of changes in just a few days. There are many more upgrades like that of Shanghai.
Evan Van Ness was a Web3 investor who expressed opinions on Saturday 24 September regarding the Ethereum merger. Van stated that Van argued the Ethereum merge shouldn’t have taken place in the ten most recent days.
Buterin seeing Van Ness’s tweet, agreed with him, saying they should have implemented an NXT-like chain based on POS.
Charles Hoskinson Claims Ethereum POS Is A Bad Design
Hoskinson joinedThe Buterin-Van Ness discussion, where Hoskinson stated that there should be a Snow White protocol in order to speed up POS migration. Hoskinson’s opinion didn’t go well with the others, which resulted in an argument between him, Van Ness, and other Ethereum developers.
Snow White provides end-to–end security and proof of identity for POS systems. Hoskinson was a strong advocate for Snow White over many years. Hoskinson claimed his idea for the Ethereum network’s technical upgrade in 2014 was better than the present upgrade.
Van Ness recalledHoskinson was fired from Ethereum for his unprofessional behavior and infrequent technical contributions. Hoskinson claimed that Ethereum developers ignored Ouroboros over the past five years.
Ouroboros, a proof-of-stake secure blockchain that is peer-reviewed and researched-based, is the first protocol. The current proof-of-stake update is also not well-designed, he said.
In their argument, Hudson Jameson, Ethereum’s core developer, responded to Hoskinson’s Ouroboros implementation claims. Jameson said to Hoskinson Cardano was the reason that Ethereum developers hate him.
Charles must have forgotten about Reddit and the amount of Ethereum he used while building Cardano. Vitalik also reviewed Ouroboros quite a while back.

The Ethereum developer also spoke of Hoskinson’s ill-treatment of Ethereum while he created Cardano. Vatalik was also quoted as having reviewed Ouroboros.
Charles Hoskinson on Success of Cardano
Hoskinson boasted that Cardano is not dependent on cryptocurrency to succeed and that they’ve grown to billions without mass adoption.
Although similar arguments are not new between Hoskinson and the Ethereum developers, it shows how detached from each other the two blockchain’s have become.
Cardano as well as Ethereum network are in intense upgrades. But Hoskinson is famous for his bullish comments on past projects.
Cardano Vasil Upgrade took place Thursday, 23 septembre. The successful Cardano upgrade was announced by Input Output Hong Kong, the Blockchain company.
IOHK reported that hard forks were used to upgrade the network to allow block transmission to occur without the need to validate the request. This will enable block creations to be made faster. Plutus Smart Contracts Upgrade was intended to improve efficiency and allow for low-cost decentralized applications.
