In sports NFTs, Candy Digital – the arguable leader within the world of baseball NFTs – is unrolling dynamic NFTs. Crabada, a major financial credit provider and processor of payment processing, is expanding its influence on Avalanche networks.

New Mint: Candy Digital Gets Dynamic NFTs

While dynamic NFTs are not well-known, they have certainly been among the best legacy projects. Candy Digital, who carries a partnership with Major League Baseball, is working on dynamic NFTs according to reports today, kicking off with a series titled the ‘MLB ICON Leadoff.’ It could lead to the early iterations of fantasy sports intertwining with NFTs (though indirectly here, as fantasy sports have not been mentioned with this application), as Candy Digital will integrate player performances from each game. It’s a major development for taking sports NFTs to the next level.

Mastercard Making Changes

Visa and Mastercard are two powerhouse financial players, and while Visa has certainly made a splash around NFTs, such as buying a CryptoPunk last year, Mastercard has had most of it’s activity occur behind the scenes. Mastercard has filed over 12 trademark applications related to NFT and metaverse engagement. Mastercard has hired hundreds more employees in the last year to help merchants, banks and others with NFTs or related blockchain applications.

The ‘Minty Fresh’ Take

Today’s ‘Minty Fresh’ take is a quick look at the last 30 days of GameFi NFT volumes, courtesy of @gojo_crypto on Twitter. Crabada has seen massive growth on the Avalanche chain, so much so that it has begun to bog down Avalanche’s network costs. Avalanche will likely launch a Crabada-specific subnet.
