Soneva’s Luxury Resorts Now Accept Crypto Payments – Featured Bitcoin News

Soneva, a luxury resort chain in Thailand and the Maldives has begun to accept cryptocurrency payments. “Accepting cryptocurrencies as a payment method is another example of enabling our international guests to easily make payments from anywhere in the world.”

Soneva Accepts Cryptocurrency Payments

Soneva, a luxury resort chain, has begun to accept bitcoin and ethereum payments at its resorts.

Soneva Fushi, Soneva Jani and Soneva Aqua are three Soneva resorts located in the Maldives. Soneva Kiri is also a resort located in Thailand. You can use Bitcoin or ether to purchase Soneva Villa Ownership.

Soneva has formed partnerships with Triple A, a crypto payment solution provider, and Pomelo Pay to allow cryptocurrency payments. Triple A has been licensed by Singapore Monetary Authority.

Soneva clarified that bitcoin and other ether payments cannot be refunded, however credits may be used per Soneva’s flexible cancellation policy. The company’s terms and conditions detail that cryptocurrencies will be processed through third parties with their own terms and conditions. “Soneva will only accept and, where required refund, cryptocurrencies for their USD value at the moment of the transactions and excluding any additional fees from the third parties,” its website states.

Bruce Bromley, Soneva’s chief financial officer, notes: “At Soneva, we have always endeavored to be a pioneer in the hospitality industry.” He added:

We also accept cryptocurrencies to pay our guests around the globe.
