Sneaker Giant Adidas and Ready Player Me Partner to Launch AI-Generated Avatar Creation Platform – Metaverse Bitcoin News

Adidas, the German multinational company that makes athletic shoes and sportswear, announced Tuesday it is working with Ready Player Me to create a metaverse avatar platform. Adidas and Ready Player Me will launch a personality based AI generated avatar creation platform featuring the Adidas Originals’ Ozworld shoe collection.

Adidas Collaborates With Ready Player Me

Adidas continues its journey into the metaverse with Ready Player Me, a partnership that the company announced on Tuesday. Ready Player Me is basically a platform for avatars across multiple applications that was created specifically for the metaverse.

Ready Player Me’s technology allows people to explore different virtual metaverse worlds with a single identity. The platform Adidas Originals is launching is linked to the company’s latest Ozworld shoe release.

In the 90s, the futuristic shoes bearing the name Ozworld first appeared. The sneakers featured an innovative adiprene cushioned sole and upper. Ready Player Me will partner with fans to allow them to make metaverse avatars using the Adidas Ozworld brand.

“Each unique avatar will be able to traverse the web through a bespoke partnership with Ready Player Me,” Adidas said on Tuesday. “This is the first brand partnership that pushes the limits of the platform – offering interoperability in generative avatars with over 1,500 different metaverse apps and games.”

Adidas was testing NFT with many different ideas. At the end of November 2021, the company announced that it had joined forces with Coinbase as well as The Sandbox. Adidas also collaborated with Bored Ape Yacht Club’s (BAYC), NFT project, the following month.

Adidas Originals released a NFT line with Gmoney, Punks Comics and the BAYC Project. The company’s Adidas Originals NFT compilation has also been a top NFT project in terms of sales volume.

On April 8, the sneaker- and sportswear company will unveil the AI-generated avatar generation platform. Adiclub members and Adidas NFT holders will gain early access to the metaverse and on April 28, the avatars’ first installment will launch.
