Avocado Guild, essentially, is a P2E gaming community that uses a variety of successful games to help gamers. The rise of blockchain gaming was a major topic this year. A recent survey revealed that most software engineers working in the field of games have begun to use blockchain technology.
“At the heart of every NFT player is the desire to succeed and lead a better life,” the Avocado Guild website details. “Avocado Guild (AG) is a play-to-earn guild that aims to unlock life-changing opportunities and rewarding experiences for its community members.” According to the organization, the Series A financing was led by Animoca Brands and QCP Soteria Node.
QCP Soteria Node, Animoca Brands and Binance Smart Chain were also part of the funding round. Also, Goldentree Asset Management and Polygon Studios participated. Three Arrows Capital and Solana Ventures are three other participants. Avocado Guild says the company plans to grow to other P2E Blockchain games as well as become an autonomous decentralized organization (DAO), Avocadodao.
The topic of play-to earn blockchain gaming was a big one this year. Some believe it’s the future for online and multiplayer gaming. Others disagree. In a recent earnings report, Ubisoft included blockchain gaming and Microsoft’s executive vice president for gaming recently spoke out on NFT gaming. Square Enix is rumored to be entering the blockchain gaming market, and Morgan Stanley considers that the metaverse could become the next great investment topic.
