PSG FC (Paris Saint-Germain FC), a European soccer team, took the first steps towards establishing an online presence on the metaverse. To offer software and memorabilia as well as articles that are linked to non-fungible tokens (NFTs), the club filed several trademark applications.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), an English soccer club that has a significant European fan base, wants to establish a foothold in the metaverse. They are now trying to secure its name for this purpose. A series of trademark applications were filed by the club to secure its brand name on a variety of virtual memorabilia, trading cards and other items. All are authenticated using non-fungible tokens.
