Next Earth is the third largest metaverse and has demonstrated its support for environmental issues by allocating 1,000,000 USD. Now they’re about to start their first CSR campaign.
Next Earth will be launching a game in metaverse together with SEE Turtles its partner organisation. Next Earth invites their users contribute to a great cause by buying land on specific territories in metaverse. With the chance to win NXTT worth $200,000 or five unique NFTs, SEE Turtles will receive 20% from every transaction to fund plastic-removal projects in real world locations.
Collecting plastic waste from beaches and coasts doesn’t only cleans the ocean but can save the lives of endangered sea turtles and make a positive impact on the environment. Next Earth leads the metaverse in social responsibility. It takes this seriously and works with partners and its community to educate and inform.
Joining the Club
Next Earth users need only purchase land within the designated territories in order to participate in this campaign. These are also the territories in which SEE Turtles will start plastic waste collections from the proceeds of the campaign. Users will have the ability to create a treasure map by removing trash from tiles and searching for hidden prizes.
Next Earth placed NXTT worth $200,000 under many tiles. It also included 5 TinyWasteland NFTs. Not only are they supporting a great cause, but there is also the possibility to win incredible prizes. Next Earth will be announcing the exact date and time soon.
Noemi Magyar, Head of CSR for Next Earth, and Brad Nahill (President of SEE Turtles), discussed how their partnership has had an impact on their lives and the way that donations have been turning into help. Peter Csakvari from TinyWasteland, an artist has joined the discussion. He will discuss his work and what unique NFTs could be used to fund such campaigns.
Meta For Good
This is an excellent example of how a metaverse can make use of its platform in order to promote good causes and social responsibility. Next Earth collaborates with SEE Turtles to make a positive difference in the world and save endangered species’ lives.
Next Earth donates 10% of the transaction proceeds every year to charity. This is its first social responsibility campaign. This cooperation is a great example of how metaverses can work together to help environmental causes.
It is vital to keep in mind that the metaverse can serve more than entertainment purposes as it becomes mainstream. Next Earth hopes to inspire others to utilize their metaverse’s platform to help make a real difference and to fund causes.
