Crypto.com, a digital currency exchange, announced that fighting fans from Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will have the opportunity to receive Fight Night bonuses. These bonuses will be paid out in bitcoin. Fight Night bonuses payouts vary depending on where the contestant is placed. Contestants who place first will be paid $30,000 in Bitcoin for their win.

UFC and Crypto.com offer bonuses to athletes in Bitcoin by using fan voting

Crypto.com, a cryptocurrency exchange, announced Thursday that it had partnered with UFC to offer bitcoin bonuses to UFC fighters who placed first, second and third at a Fight Night contest. In order to determine the best three fighters at each UFC pay per view (PPV), the placing decision will be made by fans. “Bitcoin bonuses include $30,000 for First Place, $20,000 for Second Place, and $10,000 for Third Place,” the crypto exchange’s announcement explains.

BTC bonuses are based on USD exchange rates at that time. UFC 273 will host the first Bitcoin bonus Fight Night: Volkanovski and the Korean Zombie. UFC’s tournament will be held at VyStar Veteran Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday April 9. “Crypto.com has been an official UFC partner for less than a year, and I’m telling you they are already one of the best partners we’ve ever had,” UFC president Dana White said in a statement. UFC executives added:

The announcement made on Thursday stated that each UFC PPV will feature fan voting. Fans can access the portal at crypto.com/fanbonus. Crypto.com claims that the voting system is accessible to anyone worldwide. Fans get three votes for each event. Two fighters can be voted for by fans. Voting begins during the PPV Preliminaries and ends one hour after Fight Night.
