AC Milan, a top soccer team from Italy and current champion of the Serie A league, has announced that a non-fungible token (NFT-based) project will be launched. Monkeyleague is a Web3-based soccer league based in Solana. The partnership was established by the organization and Monkeyleague became their official NFT partner. This allowed them to create a series of NFT-branded assets.
AC Milan launches NFT Assets under the Monkeyleague brand
All sports teams around the globe are using more Web3 elements to reach fans in different countries. AC Milan, current champion in the Italian Serie A League has announced that it will be participating in a new NFT initiative. Monkeyleague is a Web3 soccer esports game that partners with AC Milan to create a joint NFT drop using franchise-owned IP.
The team released a press release stating that Monkeyleague has become the team’s official NFT partner and would collaborate closely with them to create a brand new range of AC Milan NFT assets including skins and stadiums.
Casper Stylsvig was Chief Revenue Officer for the company. He stressed the importance of AC Milan’s digital presence to its fans. He added:

Monkeyleague has become a premier partner for football clubs around the world, giving them the opportunity to play the game and give their fans a way to interact with their team in a fresh and innovative way.

Fans of the team will be able to purchase physical items related to the partnership through the partnership. The auction for these assets will take place on October 6. Many NFTs auctioned by NFTs will also contain physical jerseys signed and signed by members of the entire team.
In order to provide feedback to Monkeyleague, AC Milan’s key players will playtest several aspects of the game. Web3 is not the team’s first venture. The organization already has a Fan token in association with Socios.com.
The team recently signed a partnership agreement with Bitmex, an exchange for cryptocurrency derivatives. This was the team’s first official sleeve partners.
