How Web 3.0 Can Help YouTube Content Creators

YouTube, Instagram and TikTok are some of the most popular platforms for content creators to express themselves, create a community and – ultimately – generate income. These platforms are part of Web2’s Web2 ecosystem and have limitations when it comes to revenue generation.

Web 2.0 vs. Web 2.0 vs.

Web 2.0 is all user-generated content. It encourages greater interconnectivity, social interaction and more users to contribute. Web 2.0 has allowed people to make a variety of income streams, including subletting homes and selling goods and services. They can also promote brands via their Instagram or YouTube channels. But Web 2.0 has also demonstrated its dark side, evidenced by Facebook’s Cambridge Analytica Data scandal.

Web 3.0 has all the same benefits as Web 2.0 and offers additional benefits to the average user. Web 3.0 will promote decentralization. This means that our data won’t be held in one place, such as Facebook. Instead, it will be kept at multiple places using blockchain technology. Web 3.0 promises to make the web more interactive with AI and machine-learning technology at its forefront. Web 3.0 includes tokenization. This means that users can turn many assets into tokens.

Creators of content

Web 2.0 presents some challenges for content creators. Firstly, it is difficult for any new YouTuber to crack the platform’s algorithm and boast initial views – regardless of the quality of content that they produce. YouTube’s algorithm favors channels that have more subscribers and views.

YouTube ads and YouTube are a way for content creators to earn money. However, YouTube is not able provide content creators other ways of earning income. They could also generate additional revenue if content creators had the ability to tokenize their brand and content.

XCAD is leading the Web 3.0 Content Creator Revolution

XCAD allows YouTubers’ tokenization. XCAD lets content creators create their tokens that fans can buy or earn from watching their videos. XCAD has a plugin on Google Chrome that automatically has fans get creator tokens just by watching their favorite YouTuber’s content. XCAD is a unique way for creators and viewers alike to get rewarded. For the content creators, this system allows for income generation through tokenization, further views to gain more income from the YouTube platform’s algorithmic rewards system and allows them to reward their fans for watching their content while further engaging them. Fans can use these Creator tokens to connect with their favorite YouTuber. They can be used to gain access to private groups, events and video collaborations.

Apart from tokenization, within XCAD’s roadmap is a plan to allow content creators to mint their own unique NFTs that can be purchased by their fans. Fans will be able to purchase content creator’s NFTs through the content creator’s token or the XCAD token. Creators can offer NFT “moments”, which are essentially a collection of creator moments from videos, with the most iconic moments being rare and more valuable.

Platforms such as XCAD will be the future and this project is on the right track.
