RELEASE IN PRESS Zug, Switzerland, 22nd May 2022: GAIMIN Gladiators is delighted to report that DOTA 2 placed 4th in the ESL One Major Stockholm.

For the last 10 days, GAIMIN Gladiators’ DOTA 2 team have achieved unprecedented acclaim for their progression in the ESL One Stockholm Major. The team’s success has been unprecedented for a team that was just formed. This is something typically seen only in more established, well funded teams.

DOTA 2 lost to OG in the semi-final of the lower bracket at the Hovet Arena in Stockholm. This placed them in 4th place in the tournament. The GAIMIN Gladiators’ Management were delighted with this performance; it has given the DOTA 2 team experience in playing in major tournaments and for the first time, they heard the emerging fanbase chanting for “GG” in a large arena!

GAIMIN Gladiators emerged from OCG Esports Club. This Canadian Esports club was founded by Shawn Porter, Shawn Porter, and Nick Cuccovillo in 2019. Their goal was to win their preferred esports. Since 2019, they have won major events including Dreamhack Canada Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. They also compete in the most prestigious pro-amateur league in North America.

In North America and Europe, the Club started Warcraft 3 and competed in some of the best tournaments and leagues in Warcraft 3. The Club expanded into other verticals to support their growth goals. They participated in Rainbow Six Siege for two years and played in the Challengers League. OCG’s focused on the semi-professional esports pro scene and its surrounding ecology – building a platform and ecosystem for gamers.
