The Metaverse after a Wedding Party

Florian Ughetto and Liz Nunez (a French national living in Dubai), had to file their marriage registration after they ran into legal problems. According to the couple, the decision to wed in the metaverse came almost three years after their marriage in Georgia.

According to a report by the Blockchain Group, the couple’s wedding outfits were acquired via Opensea, a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace. The report also said 20 of the couple’s closest friends would join them via the metaverse.

The report explained the steps the couple would take to exchange vows. It said that they would travel to the metaverse for their after-wedding celebration.

Metaverse Wedding Company

The report states that the couple married in Georgia in 2019. They had difficulties with registering their union in Georgia due to their nationalities.

“That is one of the reasons why we chose to fly to Georgia to register our marriage,” the report quotes Ughetto explaining.

The report stated that the couple have since set up a virtual wedding company. They hope to take their experience with a metaverse wedding as a learning curve.

The final price of the ceremony was not revealed. However, it is estimated at $800 to DH3,000.
