
With 246 exahash/second (EH/s), the Bitcoin network’s processing speed has reached an all-time record (ATH) for 2022. After the network reached an ATH on January 15, a month later the hashrate increased by 12.43% — this despite the network’s mining difficulty coasting along at record highs as well.
Bitcoin Network’s Hashrate Climbs to New Highs
Participants in Bitcoin mining reached a new record on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 when the hashrate hit an ATH at 246.80 EH/s. The hashrate has already seen three consecutive 2022 ATHs, with the initial record breaking on January 1. A mere two weeks later, another ATH was tapped by the hashrate at 219.5 EH/s.

On Saturday, 12.43% more was recorded than January 15, metric. At the moment, hashrate is at 239.48 EH/s. The hashrate high is taking place while bitcoin’s price has dropped 38.4% lower than the $69K high on November 10. Furthermore, the network’s difficulty is the highest it’s ever been as well, which means it’s more difficult than ever before to find a BTC block subsidy.
At the time of writing, the network’s mining difficulty is approximately 26.69 trillion, and it’s expected to increase 3.33% in three days. The mining difficulty rose 9.32% on January 20 and by 0.18% two weeks later.
Foundry wins the 30-Day Lead with 758 Block Reward Points
Around 18,957.962 bitcoin are currently being mined out of the total 21 million. The largest bitcoin mining pool Foundry USA was the most active in hashrate over the past three days. Foundry USA has taken 20.16% from the worldwide hashrate. They have found 101 block reward with 41.45 EH/s.
F2pool (24.63EH/s), Antpool (44.2 EH/s), Viabtc (22.2 EH/s), Poolin (39.14 EH/s), F2pool (30.63 EH/s), Antpool (44.2 EH/s), Viabtc (20.16 EH/s), etc. follow Foundry. For the past 30 days, Foundry was the best miner with 17% of global hashrate finding 758 reward blocks.
As BTC’s hashrate is riding at its highest levels in over 13 years, 12 known mining pools are mining the leading crypto asset while stealth miners (unknown hashrate) command 1% (2.05 EH/s) of the network’s hashrate.
