Binance Donates $10M To Ukraine And Launches Emergency Relief Fund

No surprise, the international support for Ukraine has grown after Russia’s invasion.

Experts from all sectors began to worry about the possibility of worse outcomes after Russia invaded Ukraine. Cybersecurity experts began to ask if there was a global cyberwar. The industry of crypto currency did not retreat either.

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by volume, has announced a $10 million donation to Ukraine. The company also launched an emergency fund to help the victims. CEO has a Twitter account. CZ noted, “Our focus is providing on-the-ground support. We care about the people.”

Binance’s official statement about charity fund launched;

As a response to Russia-Ukraine’s crisis, US$10million has been donated to major Intergovernmental Organizations or NGOs. This money will be used to assist refugees and children, as well as to support refugees with logistical needs such food, fuel and other supplies.

Ukraine To Benefit From Crypto Industry

Binance has collected over $6 Million in donations to the Ukraine Emergency Fund. It is here to help those affected by the violence in Ukraine and recent natural catastrophes.

FTX’s founder, Sam Bankman Fried, announced that he had donated 25 dollars worth of cryptocurrency to each user in Ukraine following the Russian war crisis.

The crisis in Ukraine is growing and it’s becoming apparent that Russia wants to create a puppet government. Russian troops entered Kyiv already, putting at risk the democratically elected government. It could mean less freedom for citizens than before.
