Binance CEO Meets Central African Republic Leader — President Touadéra Says Meeting Was a ‘Truly Remarkable Moment’ – Africa Bitcoin News

Changpeng Zhao (CEO of cryptocurrency Binance), revealed via a Twitter that he met recently the President of Central African Republic. Some of the topics discussed by the two were focused on “education, investments and crypto adoption in the Central African Republic.”

‘An Incredibly Important Step’ for the CAR

As part of his latest effort to drive adoption in Africa, Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of the global cryptocurrency exchange Binance recently met the Central African Republic (CAR) President Faustin-Archange Touadéra. This meeting is just months after CAR was the first African nation to legalize bitcoin.

In the following: tweet in which he lauds the meeting, the CAR leader described his encounter with Zhao as “an incredibly important step” for his country.

According to Touadéra, during the meeting, which he also called “a truly remarkable moment,” the Binance CEO shared “some brilliant ideas” based on his experience with the crypto exchange. Touadéra added:

These topics included investments and education. Better things are shaping up for what’s to come.

A Leader from another Bitcoin Adopting Country meets CZ

Reviewed by a tweet confirming the meeting, the Binance CEO said the two had “discussed education, investments, regulatory frameworks, and crypto adoption.”

Zhao had previously met the Senegal President and Ivory Coast President before meeting the CAR leader. Meanwhile, the Binance CEO’s meeting with Touadéra marks the second time Zhao has met with the leader of a nation that has legally adopted bitcoin. Nayib Bukele, President of El Salvador, is the Binance CEO’s first host.

Meanwhile, despite the CAR’s ongoing efforts to bolster the uptake of Sango coin sales, the number of tokens sold was still below fifteen million at the time of writing. Two weeks ago, more than 195,000,000 Sango coins were sold out of the total 210 million.
