Press release
PRICE RELEASE Austrian PostThe Austrian national postal service has launched Crypto stamp art (CSA), a new product that is based upon the Ethereum blockchain. It is important to put the digital aspect first, as Austrian Post has sold many iterations since 2019 and is one of the most prominent players in blockchain technology. The sale of Crypto stamps in the past was focused on the stamp itself, with its digital equivalent.
After the release of the physical stamp block, July 1, 2022 will mark the launch date for the CSA. Collectors have exclusive access to 2,500 CSA Mystery Boxes. tokapi.com.
The digital mystery boxes contain 4 non-fungible tokens, a special stamp block, and a trading card. This is known as an “special art stamp”. Each NFT is distributed in different colours with increasing rarity.
Some rarities are:
Red: 100 Editions. 1% Rare.| 1% rarity.
Yellow: 1000 Editions | 10% rarity.
Rare 30%| 30% rarity.
58.96% rarity.| 58.96% rarity.
Purple/Green/Turquoise/Friedrich: 1 edition each | 0.01% rarity.
Note that buyers of the mystery boxes only will be able to receive a physical stamp with an exclusive art piece after they are purchased.
The unique stamp is what makes it so distinctive.
This limited-edition trading card features a number of security and NFC chips. It can also be broken at the center. You can use the left side as a regular stamp, and the artwork side on your right.
With classic stamps, you can bridge the gap between digital and the traditional world.
The first edition CSA was a modern reinterpretation the Merkur newspaper stampeds of 1851. It came in four different colour options. Unfortunately, there are very few remaining Red Mercury stamps today. This makes it one of Europe’s rarest and most valuable stamps.
Josef Anxmann (a copper engraver) designed the stamps that were first issued in the 19th Century. Encode Graphics, Ari Pratama, and PR1MAL CYPHER (a well-known Austrian digital artist who is also an expert in NFT), designed the 2022 edition. It was 150,000 copies of the new stamp block that had a nominal worth 3.70 euros. The stamp block is now available at all post offices. onlineshop.post.at
The Austrian Post is giving away special stamp blocks to encourage adoption of NFTs worldwide and in Austria. Every box includes four NFT collectibles, as well as an exclusive limited-edition special art stamp.
Only on the CSA Mystery Boxes Tokapi.comFrom July 22, boxes will be available for 500 Euros each. To participate, you don’t need to be an expert in blockchain. Tokapi allows you to make instant transfers or use your credit card. It doesn’t require that you create a crypto wallet.
The crypto stamp is only the beginning
The first edition of Crypto stamp art was created with this edition. It forms a digital collector’s item with a physical counterpart, but the focus is on collecting digital works of art and collaborating with greats from the NFT scene.
Austrian Post believes in new interpretations. They have already attracted other internationally recognized artists to implement future Crypto stamps.
In support of the upcoming launching event, Patricia Liebermann, Head of Philately for Austrian Post AG, states: “There has been a generational shift in collecting. To make digital collectibles more valuable and distinctive, younger people use NFTs. It is the perfect opportunity for us to bridge the gap between physical and digital collecting with the Crypto stamp art that speaks to all generations.”
Tokapi CEO Daniel Lenikus commented on the partnership with Austrian Post
“Blockchain is changing the world at an even faster pace than the internet did and typically adds significant complexity. We’re removing these barriers. The NFT should not be restricted to those with blockchain expertise, but accessible to everyone. At Tokapi, we provide the easiest way for collectors to buy digital assets, and thus help onboarding a new wave of collectors.”
