World Of Women NFT has strong marketing, leadership and first-mover advantages. There is also an active community. They also seem to enjoy the greatest celebrity support, even if they aren’t as famous as the punks or the apes. From World of Women’s partner Reese Witherspoon to Eva Longoria, to Bryce Dallas Howard; from Snoop Dogg to Gary Vee, everyone wants to be a part of the club.
The WoW digital collectibles were launched in July 2021. They are technically ERC-721 tokens. This collection is stored on Ethereum Blockchain. Its high-quality images can be accessed via IPFS. It’s a for-profile picture or PFP, like most successful NFT collections. The World Of Women contains 10,000 uniquely generated algorithmic pieces. The collection’s main artist is Yam Karkai.
World Of Women holders have immediate intellectual property rights on the piece that they hold. They can also download high resolution versions of the piece to be used as needed. Automatic voting membership is granted to them by DAWOW (the DAO who controls the World Of Women Community). And they’re part of a club that each month receives “ArtDrops,” free NFTs from interesting artists from around the world directly to their inbox. Members-only offers, such as pre-sales and mint passes, are available.
Utility is a strong feature of this NFT collection. The main reward, though, is being part of an organization that’s a net positive for women and inclusion worldwide. So far, World Of Women has donated over $250K from the collection’s royalties to women-centric charities all over the world. Even their own non-profit exists. Too young to wed’s “mission is to empower girls and end child marriage globally.” World Of Women also commits a percentage of their royalties to buy 1/1 NFTs from women-centric artists.
Projects in the World of Women
Based on World Of Women’sbout Us, this is the organization’s vision:
“WoW’s vision is to build an inclusive web3 through its collection and community. In Nov. 2021 research showed that female artists only made 5% in NFT sales over the previous 21 months. WoW is on a mission to change this.”
You can only purchase the original World Of Women collection on the secondary market. Floor price for OpenSeaThere is a 4ETH fee and the total transaction volume for this collection is 70.8ETH. The organization recently sold its second collection, World Of Women Galaxy. The originals were given to holders as a gift. Retail customers can mint them at 0.3ETH. This was done to encourage new members to join the WoWGalaxy community by lowering the entry cost. The WoWGalaxy collections are currently worth 0.47 ETH on the secondary market. Floor price at OpenSeaThus, entry prices are still very low.

WoW Art Collectors
WoWFund manages and curates this collection. It also places bids on behalf of its clients. The fund announces all of its moves through the organization’s Twitter feed. The fund is funded by 15% of primary sale royalties. The WoWFund’s focus is 1/1 NFTs, as opposed to generative art collections like World of Women.

World Of Women ’s Real-World Impact
They are committed to increasing the number of women who join DeFi or Web3. World of Women is expected to create an academy that will educate and guide women through the wild-wild world. It will be focused on minorities and other underrepresented groups.
The organization also held a Meetup in Los Angeles for meatspace. The event was such a success, that WoW’s community manager tweeted: “WoW & WoWG holders, if you’re interested in hosting meet-ups in your city but don’t know where to start – tag me on our discord! let’s do more of these.” And announced a meetup in NY and another in Toronto.

Reese Witherspoon: What does it have to do with it?
The actress’ production company, Hello Sunshine, signed “a storytelling partnership” with World of Women. The idea is to create “entertainment properties” based on their IP and produce a “live event” in conjunction with other women-centric NFT projects. Variable quotesReese Witherspoon describes the plans.

“We’re proud to partner with WoW to expand their universe of characters and to develop innovative scripted and unscripted content. We look forward to engaging with the remarkable WoW community at every step of this partnership and creating opportunities for WoW holders to work collaboratively with Hello Sunshine on transforming the WoW art into powerful stories.”
Is there anything that will come of it? What will the public think? Hollywood can be a cruel mistress. Nothing is certain. If Reese and World of Women succeed, though, it could translate into big things for this collection’s holders. WoW’s story is just starting.
