Metaverse Perceived As Accessible, Globant Found

Research on the metaverse, its tech and how it is perceived by people has become a popular topic for companies. A new report from Globant in Argentina, a software company, revealed that the people actually feel more connected to the metaverse then experts think.

The document, titled “How the metaverse is transcending digital limits and reinventing our place in the physical world,” studied the opinion of 834 members of Globant’s database of technology professionals from around the globe. It was found that 73% believed that they could access the metaverse, even with all of the technology required to create it. Only 26.5% reported experiencing metaverse experiences.

Diego Tártara, chief technology officer at Globant, stated:

The metaverse, while still in its infancy stages, is challenging businesses to make their way into this new universe. While they are bringing their businesses to the new reality, users still need to learn to accept this new world.

For remote work, inclusive and crucial

One of the other findings from the report is about the target market for metaverse apps. Although metaverse apps are based on virtual reality technology, respondents feel that this industry does not target only the younger crowd. 75% said the metaverse is for all generations.

It also highlighted the significance of metaverse technology for remote work in the future. Respondents were optimistic about remote work and 69% believed the metaverse played a key role. Remote work was a popular trend in the Covid-19 days. Many companies now consider keeping remote work as part of their schedule strategy.

Globant co-founder and CEO, one of its founders recently stated that companies need to take more into consideration new technologies like crypto, the metaverse and NFTs.
