Unity CEO Predicts Websites Will Mutate to Metaverse Destinations Before 2030 – Metaverse Bitcoin News

John Riccitiello is the CEO of Unity. Unity is a leading 3D engine provider. He predicts that in the coming years, the internet will be part of the metaverse. This executive forecast that the majority of websites will soon be metaverse destinations, and this transformation will most likely take place by 2030. Riccitiello said that legacy websites will be available at this time.

Unity CEO: The Future of VR in Internet will be VR-Based

Many companies are interested in what the future of the metaverse might look like. Unity, an online company that specializes in 3D real-time solutions, believes most of the internet’s traffic will be metaverse-based within 2030. John Riccitiello (CEO of the company) stated that two-dimensional websites would mutate into metaverse destinations. These will also be interconnected. The comments were made during a keynote speech at AWE (an augmented reality convention) last week.

The prediction predicts that there will be three main types of web destination. First, sites that will be fully metaverse-integrated, identified as “places you could live and inhabit.” The second kind will blend real-world locations with extended capabilities, and another class of sites will be just “a little bit of a layer atop today’s world,” augmenting it.

The metaverse experience can only be experienced fully with appropriate hardware. However, it will have to adapt to less-capable hardware such as PCs or mobile phones.

Live 3D Experiences in Real Time and The Metaverse

Unity’s CEO also spoke out about the value of real-time characteristics in metaverse destinations. This means that every interaction with these places is first experienced when it occurs, rather than movies where everything happens the same way.

These are the real-time engine vendors that allow designers to build and enhance metaverse experiences. In an interview, Riccitiello stated that more than 50% of the real-time 3D experiences in the market are built using Unity’s products. Recent acquisitions of Ziva Dynamics, Weta Digital, and other companies have been made with the aim of improving technology to allow for more immersion in the company’s real-time products.

Unity isn’t the only company with a real-time engine that’s interested in the metaverse. Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 is also an alternative. Its goal is to provide high-quality metaverse worlds and interaction for applications.
