Canadian Musician Grimes Reveals ‘Intergalactic Children’s Metaverse Book’ at Avalanche Summit – Bitcoin News

At the Avalanche Summit in Barcelona, the Canadian musician and record producer Grimes announced she plans to launch an “intergalactic children’s metaverse book.” Grimes’ children’s metaverse book project is part of a $100 million initiative started by the Avalanche Foundation and the non-fungible token (NFT) launchpad OP3N.

Culture Catalyst is a $100-million initiative that aims to promote Web3 entertainment. It was launched by OP3N, the NFT launchpad, and Poble Espanyol at Barcelona’s Avalanche Summit. John Wu, president of Ava Labs said Culture Catalyst would help to boost Web3 entertainment apps via the Avalanche network.

“The Avalanche Foundation’s Culture Catalyst Initiative with OP3N marks a watershed moment for entertainment and pop culture applications on Avalanche,” Wu explained. “Users can expect the already robust Avalanche NFT scene to grow into new areas and be part of a fresh chapter in the history of culture on Web3.”

Apart from the Culture Catalyst the Canadian musician is also included Grimes revealed that she plans to launch an “intergalactic children’s metaverse book” as one of the projects from the initiative. While talking to Avalanche Summit guests from a video screen, Grimes talked about Web3 and how she was pleased to help OP3N’s efforts.

“When I first got into Web3, this was the kind of project I was hoping to see,” Grimes toldThe audience. “I’m very excited to be partnering with OP3N to launch a series of educational art for babies and small children with the goal of creating a profound experience for babies that is also deeply meaningful to adults,” the musician added.

Grimes is a key player in the ecosystem of non-fungible tokens (NFT). She has participated extensively over the last 2 years. Grimes is also Elon Musk’s wife and the mother of his child “X Æ A-12.” In March 2021, Grimes teamed up with the NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway to introduce her NFT collection entitled “Warnymph Collection Vol. 1.” The NFT collection obtained around $6 million and the NFT called “Newborn 1 & 3” was fractionalized.

“I hadn’t dropped any NFTs since the first drop because of the environmental concerns. But I feel totally comfortable launching on Avalanche,” Grimes saidThe blockchain event.
