Non-fungible token (NFT) assets were extremely popular this year and to date, there’s been more than $20 billion in volume recorded in terms of NFT sales among 100 collections. Many single NFTs were sold for many millions, but a lot of NFT collections and projects saw millions or even billions of dollars in volume. According to metrics from defillama.com, Cryptopunks was the most popular NFT collection and accounted for $2.98 Billion in total volume.

Many NFT collections were very popular in 2021, and they have been the subject of many discussions. Bitcoin.com News reported the top ten highest-priced non-fungible token sales of 2018, but a significant number NFT collection saw high trade volumes and increased demand. Data from defillama.com tracks 100 NFT collections and so far there’s been $20.13 billion in all-time sales from these specific NFT series.

NFTs can be traced back to blockchains including Ethereum, Terra, Solana. Cryptopunks is the project with the highest volume, $2.98B in all-time volume. It also has 3,286 owners. Bored Ape Yacht Club is second with $1.04 trillion in annual volume, 5,961 owners and the largest amount.

Here are the five most popular NFT collections and projects based on all-time volumes. Cryptopunks. Bored Ape Yacht Club. Decentraland. Mutant Ape Yacht Club. The Sandbox. Decentraland NFT volumes and The Sandbox NFT volumes can be measured using land purchase.

Decentraland had just less than a billion in sales with $930.98million and 6,051 owner. Mutant Ape Yacht Club is in fourth with $513.23 Million in total volume. There are 10,711 MAYC owners. This year, Sandbox occupies the fifth spot with $450.7million in volume and 17,315 owner. Cool Cats NFT collections saw $239.3million, Superrare received $237.94m, Cryptoadz had $204.29m, and Parallel Alpha had approximately $202.87m in volume.

Here are the 6-10 most popular NFT projects by all-time volume. Cool Cats are among the top collections and projects, alongside Cryptoadz and Parallel Alpha and Punks Comic.

Punks Comic is the tenth most valuable volume with $181.46m and 5,912 owner. Punks Comic was followed by Cyberkongz ($151.26M), Veefriends$130.47M), Veefriends$130.47M), Doodles$121.89M), Creature World (115.19M), RTFKT(93.8M), Vox Collectibles (56.4M), Vox Collectibles ($66.4M), Town Star (“65.7M”), Gutter Cat Gang (“61.6M”) and Rumble K League ($52.6M).

Town Star, Parallel Alpha and The Sandbox Assets have the greatest number of owners. Adidas Originals NFTs also have the highest percentage.

The NFT project with the greatest amount of owners listed on defillama.com’s NFT volume metrics page is Town Star with 31,721 owners. Parallel Alpha is 30,250. The Sandbox assets are 22,387 owned by Adidas Originals, Adidas Originals owns 18,869 and, as previously mentioned, the Sandbox virtual universe boasts 17,315 owners.

Adidas Originals is a brand new NFT project that sold in record time of $38.3M. At the time this article was written, Adidas Originals NFT has a price floor of $3523. Bored Ape Yacht Club’s floor price of $193K is highest. Inft Personality Sale is next at $79,173. Levana Dragons with $12.00 are the collections that have the lowest floor cost at the moment of writing.
