As such, ‘The Swappery’ has recently announced its highly-anticipated decentralized exchange (DEX) launch on the Casper Network. The DEX launched back on March 20,21 via Binance Smart Chain, (BSC), and is currently available on the Casper Blockchain mainnet. The Swappery, the Casper Network’s first functional cross-chain DEX, has been officially launched. It is a landmark in the Casper Ecosystem, and the highlight of this initiative.
What exactly is a DEX and how does it work?
Decentralized exchanges are Peer-to-Peer (P2P), marketplace where trades take place directly between cryptocurrency traders. DEXs are crucial because they fulfill one of the crypto sector’s core possibilities, namely fostering financial transactions which are not officiated by banks, brokers, or any other kind of third party or intermediary, effectively removing the ‘middleman’.
BSC is the basis of many popular DEXs such as PancakeSwap or BiSwap. Now, The Swappery can be added to this growing number. As previously stated, The Swappery was the first DEX in the Casper Network.
How can you know what to do?
Swappery was launched via CasperPad 9 March 2022. It is the Casper Blockchain’s first launchpad. Launching on the Binance Smart Chain Testnet was therefore the first step. Through the BSC testnet, crypto enthusiasts were hence able to test the DEX’s functionality before the mainnet. The Swappery received a lot of valuable feedback from users and made suggestions for improvements.
Furthermore, The Swappery is presently live on Casper mainnet, complete with all kinds of essential speed and design improvements which also include the new ‘Yield Farming’ functionality as well as swapping capabilities and providing liquidity. As the community provides valuable feedback, additional functionalities for the DEX will be developed.
