Nigerian artist Davido has launched a fan token, the Echoke Social Token, that he says gives “power” to his millions of fans.
Eliminating middlemen
Davido, a Nigerian pop star and celebrity announced recently the launch his Echoke Social Token fan token via his Instagram account.
According to Davido’s Instagram post, this token not only eliminates unnecessary third parties, but also allows him to directly connect with fans. Davido explained:
Happy to finally announce this thing we’ve been working on for a while. It’s the ‘Echoke Social Token’. Millions of people create value every day that’s captured in the boardroom by few executives. This is no longer the case. We’re giving the power back to the fans.
Holders of the token get access for free to backstage passes, giveaways NFTs, backstage passes and jobs.
Collaboration with Crypto Company
For the launch of this token, Davido — who previously expressed a desire to start to bitcoin trading company — revealed he has partnered with Bitsika Africa’s new crypto company, Omegoat.
Cryptoplustv has reported that Echoke Social Token won’t be sold but given to people over the course of 12 months. According to the same report, November 28 is the date for such giveaways.
