How Religion Is Influencing the Blockchain Sector

The crypto industry bears all the hallmarks of religion: the mysterious identity of bitcoin’s founder Satoshi Nakamoto has elevated him to the status of a spiritual force. Since the 2009 genesis of Bitcoin, spirituality and faith have been a part of our lives. This isn’t a brand new idea that was created out of nothing. However, the influence of religions on the crypto and blockchain sector is changing.

With so many developments taking place in this space, the ”religion factor” is heavily influencing various projects. Many projects incorporate a religious-based approach in order to empower communities via blockchain solutions like NFTs or the metaverse.

Imbibing this out-of-the-box approach, MetaKawn — an NFT and metaverse project — is making headway into the Web3 space. The first Metaverse, inspired by contemporary Muslims and open to all who share the same human values is being built. They also bridge the gap between content producers from all niches, while benefitting their fans. To add an additional layer of support, the Kawn Fund will receive a percentage from NFT transactions to help create and support causes (Charity Programs).

MetaKawn: Empowering Islam with Blockchain & Crypto

The purpose of cryptocurrencies is to enable peer-to-peer transactions and operate without the intervention of the central bank. They were designed for borderless transfers as they weren’t limited to one country or territory and there was no authority controlling the money mechanism of those assets.

They were originally created as currency but quickly became speculative assets for trading. There are many cryptocurrencies on the market today. Many of these cryptocurrencies are risky because of their volatile prices. NFTs, which are speculative like cryptocurrency, have also been a topic of debate. They are essentially a pump-and-dump that has drained billions of dollars from investors.

MetaKawn is, however, very distinct from all other projects due to its MetaKawn Huffaz NFTs. It is a firm believer in Islamic principles, which forbid trading and speculation. It is seeking to access the NFT and metaverse space in accordance with Islam social ethics. Moreover, it is creating the world’s first metaverse for modern Muslims who are proud of their heritage while embracing modern life around the globe. It is ultimately about bridging that gap between content creators, followers and the community by providing fairness.

NFTs and Metaverse to Power Islamic Creators

MetaKawn uses NFTs as well as the metaverse to try and scribe Quran onto the blockchain. It launched its first NFT collection called the MetaKawn Huffaz Club.

It includes 6 348 different NFTs which are representative of a new generation of Huffaz Men and Huffaz Women. It also has a strong and meaningful utility.

The inspiration comes from the concept of the Huffaz, who preserved the Quran since its inception and thus protected Islam’s values.

The Blockchain system is similar to the Quran-reserving process. The new Quran verses would have been presented to the record holders (Huffaz), who then could tell them where to find the verse in relation to the other verses. This was the beginning of building the Quran’s first Blockchain.

MetaKawn Huffaz Club has 6.348 avatars, which is equivalent to the number of Ayats found in the Quran. One Aya per Huffaz NFT will be given to each holder within the 10th day of Ramadan.

The MetaKawn Ambassadors Huffaz Club will be powered by the MetaKawn Ambassadors Huffaz. It will feature a variety of categories. Many Ambassadors from all walks of life, including celebrities, will participate in the program. The ambassadors’ goal is to strengthen their relationships with their audiences by providing exclusive benefits through the use of NFT and blockchain technology, and also by spotlighting modern Muslims’ success stories.

Blockchain Solutions: Making Space for Religions

The blockchain industry is influenced by religions. However, this is only a small part of what will happen as other religions, cultures, and faiths join the NFT and metaverse movement. This innovation is being led by MetaKawn, which shows that there is an increasing religious influence on the blockchain. Metaverses and NFTs opened up new possibilities for ideas and innovation. With more religion and culture influencing blockchain, we can say with confidence that the future is bright.
