Ford Files 19 Trademark Applications Preparing a Possible Metaverse Push – Metaverse Bitcoin News

Ford is a major automotive brand and has filed 19 trademark application related to metaverse activities. Ford-branded non-fungible tokens (non-fungible tokens), may be launched by Ford on its marketplace. The company also suggests the offer of virtual versions of the Mustang, Mustang Mach-E, Bronco, and Bronco.

Ford Involves in Metaverse Move

Ford, the largest U.S.-based auto brand by sales, filed numerous trademark applications at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. They are preparing to push the boundaries of the metaverse. Ford is trying to safeguard its operations in these areas, which includes the offer of Ford-branded NFTs through its own NFT marketplace. The NFTs could contain audio or video that are related to Ford.

Part of these applications seeks to protect the digital representation of some of Ford’s most popular models, including the 150 Lightning, Lincoln, Ford, Lightning, Bronco, Explorer, Raptor, Mustang Mach-E, Transit, Escape, Expedition, Maverick, Ranger, and Mustang.

In trademark applications, the application covers digital clothing that includes references to the brand and spare digital parts from any of these models. Mike Kondoudis, a USPTO-licensed attorney, believes that this is one of the initial steps of Ford’s organized digital strategy. claimed the company was making a “big move” into the metaverse with these filings.


Ford’s Digital Expansion

Ford’s decision isn’t surprising, considering that Ford previously stated that it was looking at the digital environment to find new opportunities to grow its business. Alexandra Ford English was the global brand merchandising manager at Ford.

Hyundai, a Korean automobile company, has also entered the metaverse, where they present some of their future auto products to a metaverse called Zepeto.
