As Trudeau Cracks Down on Trucker’s Protest in Ottawa an American Convoy Is Underway

The Freedom Convoy protests have been viewed by the world for weeks. This includes the participation of hundreds of truckers. Over the Covid-19 vaccination mandates for the trucking sector, truckers marched through downtown Ottawa. In recent times, the Canadian government has enacted the Emergencies Act, after Trudeau said he would do “whatever it takes” to end the protest in Ottawa.

Canada’s national police sent out letters to cryptocurrency exchanges asking for them to select over two dozen bitcoin addresses. This was after Gofundme shut down the Freedom Convoy’s fundraiser, and supporters initiated cryptocurrency fundraisers. Trudeau also warned of more targets for crypto accounts and sent police to the Freedom Convoy camp to detain those protesting.

While the truckers participating in the People’s Convoy are getting labeled by specific media publications, supporters chatting in the group’s Telegram channel, are continuing to preach the mission at hand. This seems to be the ultimate goal to stop the Declaration of National Emergency and to preserve the U.S. constitution.

Liberty activists feel that overreaching politicians have trampled the constitution in the past two years. The People’s Convoy website highlights the stated goals and one is to send a message to American bureaucrats. The website’s declaration states:

Our elected representatives who believe that they are our rulers should know this: You work for US. The Constitution was designed to give enough power at the national level to allow for some basic rights, but not too much to deny them.
