Bitcoin has been widely adopted and has not been stopped by any nation. There is bitcoin adoption all over the world, as both a payment option and an investment option. Konzum, a Croatian supermarket chain is the latest to adopt bitcoin as a payment method. The move was announced on Wednesday as part of the chain’s mission to drive crypto payment adoption across its stores.
Bitcoin allows you to buy groceries
Konzum announced that its customers can now pay in bitcoin across all of their stores. Konzum has over 12,000 products online, so you can make grocery and other household purchases.

Croatia’s biggest retail chain, Konzum is it. With over 700 Konzum shops across Croatia, and more than 10,000 workers in total, the chain has over 700 stores. Konzum, which is essentially the Walmart of Croatia because its stores are scattered throughout the country, can best be described as “Walmart of Croatia”. It also serves over 650,000 people each day, and has expanded to Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Konzum customers cannot pay for goods and services online with Bitcoin, or any other cryptocurrency. But, Konzum plans to offer crypto payment options in its retail stores. It is also the first time that a Croatian supermarket chain has accepted crypto payments.

A Faster And Easier Way To Pay
Konzum plans to introduce crypto payments into its physical stores. It stated that this is an easy and simple method to pay. The payment process can be compared to card payments, which it said are fast and easy to use to purchase everyday goods. When they checkout at the online shop, customers will be able choose Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency as their payment option.

PayCek will be used by Konzum to take into account the volatile nature of cryptocurrency. PayCek will display a fixed rate of exchange at checkout. This allows for sufficient time to complete the transaction as indicated.
Currently, Konzum’s online store will accept nine cryptocurrencies. They include Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum Cash, USDC and USDT as well as Ripple and Stellar Lumen.
Kalinic said that Konzum will continue to work towards developing innovative technology.
