Ripio (an Argentina-based cryptocurrency platform) announced that it has launched two products. A cryptocurrency education textbook will be used to assist new users navigate the cryptocurrency market. It also offers a Web3 wallet which is intended to serve as an entry point to the metaverse. Ripio releases educational Crypto Book
Ripio (a Latam-based cryptocurrency exchange) made announcements about its products earlier in the week. Ripio presented two products that were designed to increase the knowledge and experience of users of the cryptoverse. Ripio first launched a textbook on cryptocurrency, which was designed to teach newcomers in the field about blockchain and crypto basics.
This book will be free to users and is part of the idea of the sharing of crypto education. Ignacio Carballo is an economist at Buenos Aires University. He stated that crypto use in Latam was most common after the Covid-19 outbreak. At the launch, he stated:
The book offers valuable tools for consumers to responsibly use digital assets in this setting.
Ripo explained that the book “develops fundamental topics to understand and take the first steps in this universe: Bitcoin, blockchain, mining, Ethereum, stablecoins, and trading.”
A Web3 Metaverse wallet
A new Web3 wallet was also announced. It aims at making Ripio customers more comfortable in entering the metaverse. It is different from the Ripio wallet. This multichain wallet will function in the same manner as Metamask. Users can manage funds on different chains and NFTs and link to decentralized apps from their web browsers like Google Chrome.
Sebastián Serrano, co-founder and CEO of Ripio, stated:
This product will help you to enter a new stage of crypto economics. It includes popular digital collectibles such as NFTs, DeFi protocols and digital art markets, as well play-to earn games.
Ripio will offer a new custody mechanism for its Ripio metaverse wallet. According to Serrano it has been in work for more than one year. This system will prove more reliable than Web3 counterparts which have self-custody. It is available to beta-testers in Argentina.
After announcing its plans to expand to Spain in April, the company announced its intention to offer its services to Colombia.
