Al Jalila Foundation in the United Arab Emirates recently declared that they are now allowed to accept cryptocurrency donations. The foundation can now accept cryptocurrency donations to be eligible for funding through what has been described as the most popular donation method.
Accepting Crypto Expands Foundation’s Donation Channels
Al Jalila Foundation (UAE), a United Arab Emirates healthcare institution, announced it was granted permission to accept digital currency and that people can donate using cryptocurrencies. Al Jalila Foundation is the UAE’s first non-profit organization to accept cryptocurrency.
In a recently released statement, Al Jalila Foundation also said it has partnered with an unnamed “leading cryptocurrency platform.” Commenting on the move that expands the organization’s donation channels, foundation CEO Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama said:
Our charity relies on donations. We are constantly looking for new ways to improve our donor channels so that donors around the globe can support our programmes. As a new source of funding, Al Jalila Foundation offers the possibility for crypto users all over the globe to make donations to Al Jalila Foundation. This is both a win-win situation for the foundation as well as the donors.
Olama also lauded a decision which he said makes Al Jalila Foundation the “first” healthcare charity in the country to accept donations in cryptocurrencies and one that bridges the gap between physical and digital currency. Al Jalila Foundation now accepts cryptocurrency, joining Save the Children and the Cardano Foundation.
The Al Jalila Foundation accepts cryptocurrency donations. This allows them to raise funds via what they call a “fast-growing donation method” that is preferred by Gen-Z and Millennial donors.
