Market Nosedive Sends Cardano (ADA) Deeper Into Bear Territory

Date:

Cardano (ADA), which has felt the heat most recently, has seen the crypto market in a difficult spot. This digital asset, which is still the most popular by market capital has been having a difficult run lately. It now lies further in bear territory. As ADA continues on this trend of low momentum, hot on the heels of the market decline, indicators have proven to not be in the favor of the token’s value.

Market Declines By $80 Billion

The market experienced a series of dips over the weekend. Most altcoins suffered a sharp decline in value due to the fall of Bitcoin. Cardano was one such altcoin that had been trading under $1 heading into this weekend. Along with others, the market had fallen further into bear territory due to this dip. At the close of the weekend, crypto markets had suffered a loss of nearly $80billion from their market capital.

The decline was inevitable. The prospects for this weekend were becoming increasingly bearish due to the weak momentum last week that had rocked cryptocurrency. The bitcoin price had dropped below $40,000 and is now at $38,000.

As different altcoins have taken a hit following this decline, ADA’s outlook at this point has turned for the worse. The indicators show that digital assets have declined below all important ones, which has led to a bearish trend in the short- and long-term.

Cardano (ADA) Not Looking Good

Cardano appears to be having a worse week than any other digital asset on the market going into this new week. After falling to $0.83, it is trading at the lowest level for one month. Although it is considered a formidable competitor in DeFi, the decline has not yet led to an increase in its price.

At the time of writing, cryptocurrency trading is below the 50-day average. At $0.966, the average is a solid indicator that can help determine the near-term outlook of a digital asset. This indicator also points out that ADA has a negative short-term outlook.

Cardano could continue to decline, but this is not the end. If it is unable to recover and climb back above the $0.86 support level, then the digital asset’s price could revisit $0.7 sooner than investors expect.

It is also a seller’s market meaning that all of the indicators point toward 100% sell pressure for the digital asset, especially for the long term. This area of resistance is $0.92, but the price fell below important support levels making it impossible to reach.

At the time this article was written, ADA trades at $0.839 The market cap for ADA is $28.36 Billion, making it the 9th biggest cryptocurrency.
