Ethereum Price Gains Important Support
Ethereum tried to increase its strength above the $3.050 and 100-hourly simple moving average levels. ETH did not gain any strength beyond the $3,000.080 level.
The price reached a high of $3,082 before it began a new decline. Clear movement below the $3,000.00 support level, and 100-hourly moving average was evident. Additionally, the hourly chart of USD/ETH showed a clear break below a crucial rising channel that had support close to $3,030.
It traded just below the $3,000 resistance zone. The most important thing was that the pair traded below $2,920. An area of low volatility is found near $2,896. The ether has been consolidating their losses.
Surprisingly, a resistance level is near $2,940. This is close to the 23.6% Fib level of the decline from $3,082 high to $2,896 low. Next is resistance at the $3,000 and $2,980 levels.

A 50% Fib retracement of the recent fall from $3,082 swing low to $2.896 high is also close to the $2990 level. An increase in the price of the $100 hourly moving average or the $3,000 threshold could start a recovery wave. Near the $3,050 level could come next.
What Are the Losses of ETH More?
It could move lower if it fails to recover above $3,000 and then continue its slide. The $2,900 area is the initial support for the downside.
Next is $2,850. The price may fall further if it breaks below $2,850. There is the possibility of price moving towards the $2780 level in this scenario.
