Ripio (an Argentinian cryptocurrency exchange) has made concrete plans for expansion into Colombia. This company will be offering a new choice for cryptocurrency traders and users in Colombia. A financial education plan is also being offered. With the opening in Colombia of an office, this launch will be complete in two months.
Ripio Officially Launches in Colombia
Ripio from Argentina has given more details about the expansion of its operations in Colombia. Ripio has announced that it will provide a new proposition for Colombian cryptocurrency traders, and other services such as its digital wallet. Criptonoticias was informed by the exchange that it plans to open a Bogota office within two months. The goal is to offer a financial education program.
On this new expansion plan, and what they offer Colombians, Ripio’s team stated:
The product range we offer goes beyond the exchange service, often offered only by some companies. In fact, our main product – with more than 3 million users to date – is a digital cryptocurrency wallet for first-time users.
Customer-Geared Operation
Ripio said that they want to be more focused on their customer support because users have had issues in Colombia with different exchanges. Ripio’s userbase has increased by 400K in two years. It now serves three million clients in Colombia. Ripio also has a presence throughout Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. Ripio plans to make it possible to resolve any customer issue in less than 24 hours.
Binance is a notorious problem that has caused problems for many Colombians. An investigation conducted by the Netherlands-based Money Laundering Office led to their money being blocked. The exchange did not inform customers of this fact. Ripio aims to avoid a situation like that, setting up a digital help center manned by real agents who could address users’ concerns.
Recent interest in Colombia by cryptocurrency startups has increased. Bitso (another Latam-based cryptocurrency exchange) announced in February that it would be expanding its operations to Colombia. Emili Pardo (President of the exchange) stated that:
