Yellow Vests Looking For More Autonomy
The Yellow Jackets or Yellow Vests is an international movement called “gilets jaunes” which is the legitimate struggle of nations to self-determination. They are also asking for the reconquest of their economic, territorial, and monetary sovereignty. The GiletJauneCoin (GJCO) has been created to support this movement.
The GiletYellowCoin (GJCO) has been launched after the social unrest in France while the anti-democratic European “parliament” which is supported by the banking lobbies as well as the European Union. It is trying to quieten the nation so as to keep them in a never-ending debt system. They are also pushing currencies into a permanent inflation and economies into chaos leaving most of the citizens in constant confusion and anxiety.
Some of the protesters involved in last week’s social unrest in France have launched this new crypto token called GiletJauneCoin (GCJ0) which is based on the Ethereum blockchain. Gilet Jaunes are the yellow vests which many of the protesters wore and subsequently the protests in France were named after them. Many of the protesters wore these yellow vests and these showed the importance of their labouring jobs and working-class identity in the movement. Several of the protesters also held up ‘Buy Bitcoin’ and other slogans pertaining to this new coin.
Chinese Bitcoin Foundation Member Bobby Lee Supporting The Movement
The Gilet Jaunes Movement was also recently linked to the crypto by Chinese Bitcoin Foundation member Bobby Lee. He also pointed out how Bitcoin could be used to prevent many of the economic issues that led to the unrest. Lee, who currently serves on the board of the Bitcoin Foundation, took aim at governmental monetary policy, which he sees as destroying the value of money through irresponsible spending and excessive printing of money.
GCJ0 is intended “for transactions between yellow vests citizens, or people who wants to support our legitime battle against european oligarchy. By providing the necessary infrastructure for a massive use of the GJCO, we are helping yellow jackets around the world to create a parallel economic system”, according to the token’s official website.
Around 40,000 Euros has been invested into this infrastructure. The riots were started as a response to rising fuel costs in France. The revolution came about due to taxation measures intended to tackle the growing threat of climate change. Lee claims that he is also “all in favor of fighting climate change”, but does decline to mention the ways that Bitcoin could itself contribute to this problem, particularly if it continues to grow.
