The number of people standing to attend the Malta Blockchain Summit is now expected to exceed the 7,000 mark. A Blockchain Hackathon is being launched on the Blockchain Island of Malta and this is being powered by CryptoFriends who are also offering a cash prize of eur 50,000.
This is definitely the perfect opportunity for students and developers alike, as apart from winning the cash prize, the Hackathon teams will be provided with invaluable networking opportunites among the delegates attending the conference. The co-inventor of blockchain technology, W. Scott Stornetta PhD, will also be present at the summit and guests will be able to mingle with the blockchain elite in this unique opportunity.
Great prize for crypto hackathon
In order to win the prize of eur 50,000, teams are asked to develop dApp implementation or else a smart contract that will satisfy a panel of judges appointed by the Hackathon protocol sponsor. Teams may be made up of different individuals grouped together or else as an individual altogether.
Individuals will then be grouped up together with other individuals or may join a team which is still incomplete. All teams must be made up of 4-8 members as well as a team leader. It is recommended that individuals should be of diverse capabilities. It should have knowledge of Project Management, Client side Web Development, Smart Contract Development and Web UX/UI Designer.
Senior experts within the blockchain community and the digital economy in general will be mentoring the teams. These include Joshua Ellul from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Malta, Dean Demellweek, Gege Gatt at Ebo, Mikhail Savchenko at Chronobank and MihaiCimpoesu at Mattereum.
