You will be amazed at the results. Marketplace DealShakerIs still functioning. DealShaker, the commerce arm of OneCoin’s empire, provided an obvious and demonstrable case for OneCoin to be a currency. You could buy items at a particular e-commerce site with the token. Those were those days. The greatest thing about exploring OneCoin and Dr. Ruja’s story is that it reflects how naive the crypto world actually was just a few years ago. This is true in many aspects.
In “The Missing Cryptoqueen’s” sixth episode, we travel to the past. It’s titled “The Überflieger” referring to a “high-flying” person. That’s how teachers of the past described Dr. Ruja, who was definitely the star in all of her classes and was respected and hated for it. Georgia and Jamie have much to learn from Ruja Ignatova. Let’s find out.

About “The Missing Cryptoqueen,” Episode Six – “The Überflieger”
This episode is from 2009, five years prior to OneCoin’s and DealShaker. Bitcoin was on the scene, and Dr. Ruja bought a German factory. Georgia and Jamie visited the site to interview survivors. They tell them that Ruja Ignatova got there, impressed everybody, and made a lot of promises that she didn’t keep. She disappeared after that and began rug-pulling everyone. The interesting fact is that her father and her mom worked at the factory. Ruja Ignatova can be described as a mother and grandmother.
Many documents were stolen along with Dr. Ruja’s disappearance from factory offices after she disappeared. Podcast interviewees believe this to be staged. They also think Dr. Ruja stole and destroyed important documents. “It’s exactly the same story,” one of them says comparing OneCoin and DealShaker to the factory in question. Ruja Ignatova, who was unable to keep the company afloat during difficult times, sold it and went missing. It is still closed today.
In the next section’s second quote, you’ll sense the magnitude of that first case against Dr. Ruja. She paid her fine and continued to push for the penalty. According to factory workers, she found out that she would have to go missing for good the next time.
Quotes From “The Missing Cryptoqueen,” EpisodeSix – “The Überflieger”
What appears to be a diary entry reveals the story of Ruja Ignatova, a young woman.
“Ruja was always friendly to everyone. Teachers loved her for being cheerful and well-mannered. She doesn’t drink and she would never degrade herself to eating pizza. Her favorite classes were “p,” she was faultless, and now and then she likes “ari.” Generally, she got on very well with her colleagues. Stop. Perhaps we need to stick with the truth. Okay, fine. Perhaps I took pleasure in torturing students. I was always looking for the chance to spread new amusing stories about them.”
This quote summarizes the consequences of Ruja’s first fraud:
“This time, the law caught up with Dr. Ruja. She was found guilty of several offenses in Germany by a German court. Intentional breach of duty in the event of insolvency, fraud, withholding an embezzlement of employees’ wages, and violation of accounting duties, She received a 14-month suspended sentence and an €18,000 fine. According to local media, Ruja appeared again at the hearing and did not show emotion as the verdict was handed down. She quietly slipped out and returned to Bulgaria, and carried on with OneCoin as if nothing had happened.”
More About Dr. Ruja’s Past
Jamie and Georgia later confirm Ruja actually got a PHD. “She’s smart,” Georgia says. Multi-Level Marketing appears again. We learn that in 2014, Ruja Ignatova tried to sell… wait for it… bitcoin using MLM techniques. Sebastian Greenwood, who is a Multi-Level Marketer expert and seems to be the one that created Dr. Ruja’s character with Ignatova, is presented by the producers. He was charismatic, and she had the talent. The only thing they needed was a product that could be controlled.
We meet Duncan, last but not least. He once was an integral part of the OneLife organization and it’s the mind behind DealShaker. Jamie is challenged by him to identify five items he desires and pay with OneCoin. Jamie explores DealShaker, and discovers that the people who sell the products on the site are mostly looking for Euros. Does DealShaker actually exist as a OneCoin marketplace?
The episode ends with a Private Detective hired by the Production finding a woman that might be Ruja Ignatova, Athens. Is it possible?

Additional Material: OneCoin Responds to The FCA
Six years ago, the Financial Conduct Authority of the United Kingdom warned OneCoin. Responding, the company NewsBTC published the story:
“In the statement, OneCoin has called itself a global software and technology company with offices in Bulgaria, Hong Kong, and the United Arab Emirates. OneCoin, according to the company, is a digital currency with few characteristics similar to existing cryptocurrency. This is limited to maintaining all transactions records on a single database.
In the final paragraph, the digital currency company expresses full cooperation.
“OneCoin is committed to following good business practices and the relevant rules and regulations in the countries in which it operates. It will co-operate fully with the authorities in pursuit of this objective.”
