A Look at the First Quarter’s Top Performing Cryptocurrencies in 2022 – Markets and Prices Bitcoin News

This quarter has ended and certain digital currency markets saw a lot more activity in the past three months. terra (LUNA), one of the most popular digital currencies, saw the largest gains. It rose more than 43% against the U.S. Dollar in Q1. Over the past three-months, the value of unussed leo (LEO), a top-30 crypto asset, jumped 58% against the US dollar.

Q1 2022: Terra, Unus Sed Leo, Ethereum Classic Gain Big — Solana, Algorand, Uniswap Shed Deep Losses

The year 2021 saw a huge rise in crypto assets, with many digital currencies reaching all-time highs. The first quarter 2022 is a completely different story. Many crypto markets have either been doing well, or are struggling, as shown by the graph below.

Below is a snapshot of top crypto assets in market valuation for the first quarter of 2022. We also have a list of top thirty crypto assets. Although bitcoin (BTC), the most popular crypto asset by market capitalization has gained only 4.30% in the past 90 days.

Terra (LUNA), the Q1 champion, racked up 43.83% in the first three months. The market cap of ethereum, the second largest crypto asset, is 2.75 percent lower than that of the USD at Q1. Out of the top ten tokens, solana lost 18.64% during the last three-months.

Cardano (ADA), which has seen a rise in value recently, lost 12.85% during Q1. The biggest crypto asset gainer, surpassing terra (LUNA), is unus sed LEO (LEO), which gained 58.37% during the quarter.

Below LUNA’s performance, as far as top 30 standings are concerned, was ethereum classic’s (ETC) 31.33% gain in Q1. Algorand, (ALGO) was the biggest loser of the top 30 positions. It has lost 48.51% in just three months against the USD. Another notable Q1 loser was uniswap (UNI), with the decentralized exchange (dex) token’s value sliding by 37.69%.

Crypterium and Kstarcoin Skyrocket — Bittorrent Token and Rebase Coin OHM Shudder

The biggest gainer in Q1 was Cryptorium (CRPT), which saw the token increase 423.33% from the total list of 13,568 cryptocurrency assets on 596 exchange platforms. Kstarcoin, (KSC), rose by 339.63% within three months. Time new bank (TNB), rose 234.77% during Q1.

Bittorrent, which dropped 99.93% to BTT (and OHM (rebase token olympus) lost 89.68% within the first quarter. The majority of top-ranking and largest losers from the 13,568 cryptocurrency list are not well known digital assets.
